A kind-hearted pupil at Charles Darwin Primary is on a special mission to help Santa this year – by delivering presents to poorly children and adults in hospital.
Four-year-old Lily was born with a serious heart condition and has spent every Christmas of her life at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital as she became ill during the winter.
This year she has chosen to spend Christmas Day at the hospital for a cheerier reason – to deliver toys and gifts that have been donated by her school friends for the hospital’s Send A Smile With Santa campaign, which aims to bring festive cheer and 1,000 presents to people stuck in hospital over the Christmas period.
Lily’s mum Chloe said: “Lily is super excited to be taking gifts to hospital on Christmas Day.
“She knows only too well what it’s like to spend the holidays in hospital poorly, and would like to take Christmas to the hospital and cheer everyone up.”
Lily added: “I want to take presents for the children to make them happy.”
